Max and Alex Caplan were identical twins I met in college. They were in the same frat, had the same major, and even shared a textbook in class. They lived in the same apartment with two other guys. The apartment featured a central common area with four private bedrooms. There was even a childhood photo of the twins on the fridge. The Caplan’s must have had money, because I shared a one bedroom apartment with two girls in college. We had bunk beds!
I was friendly with both twins, but Max was a little bit cuter. I had hooked up with Max a few times. When you entered their apartment, his bedroom was the first door on the right. Maybe it was the privacy of his single room that had me coming back.
One night I ran into one Caplan twin at the bar. “Where’s your brother?” I asked. After socializing over some drinks, we decided to go back to his place. When we walked in he turned to the left. “Where are you going?” I asked. “To my room” he responded, and entered the bedroom on the left. That’s when I realized, I went home with the wrong twin! It was Alex, but I spent all night thinking it was Max.
That’s the story of how I hooked up with twins by accident.
Oh well, they share the same DNA, right?
