Red Sox Dates

Game 1

I will start by saying I met this guy organically, not online, so I was optimistic. We actually met in Fenway and decided to go to a Red Sox game together the next day. Things were moving fast. He picked the seats and we decided to meet at a bar first. When he walked in he was so handsome. Drunk me sure knows how to pick em. At the game, he was sociable with both me and the fans sitting around us, an excellent quality.

The Red Sox won that day, 12-2, so spirits were high. We went out by ourselves for a bit, then met up with his friends. The only odd thing that kept coming up was Snapchat. He said he recently deleted it but if he hadn’t he’d be snapping everything. A year later I realized why… he comes across as an intoxicated narcissist in his stories. I hope you grow up.

Game 2

This match was from The League. I like this app because the quality of men seems better; however, the number of dates I get from it are way less than Hinge. I matched with this guy from New Jersey, where I’m originally from. We connected for a while over that, then he talked about being new to the area. Looking back, it seems like he needed more of a friend than a date to show him around. We were texting for a while (personally I think this is the worst) but then he finally asked me out. He chose a Red Sox game since he had never been before. I thought it would be a fun date because it’s a mix of getting to know one another while talking about the game.

We planned to meet at a bar at first, but he arrived late because he got lost on the T, typical first timer. Our seats were great. Apparently you can count on men to pick quality seats, but not to be on time. After the game we stayed out, playing darts for hours. Finally a good date! We kissed before going our separate ways. He asked to go home with me, but I said see you next time. I never heard from him again then saw he unmatched me. Curse of the Bambino? More like, cursed I’ll never have a bambino.
