Single at 30

This is the one that led me to start writing my stories down. You can thank him for sparking my inspiration. I had just started summer vacation and was feeling flirty. A guy messaged me one morning and said, “Hey beautiful, how’s it going?” Ughhh I thought, I guess it’s a nice way to start a conversation, but don’t think your compliments will make me want to go out with you. So many people on these apps will never even ask you on a date, let alone message first.

I responded nonetheless and asked him what he’s doing today. He said he had to make a return downtown. What a coincidence! I thought since I needed a new wristlet. He was going to Saks and I could easily find one at the Pru. I suggested we meet and that’s when the conversion got weird…

Him: I’ll let you know when I get there
